Intel Releases Update to XDK Free Web App Development System

Intel has made several important updates to their second generation XDK HTML development tool which provides the tools needed to develop mobile apps using HTML5 together with the collection of standards and APIs moving standard web application development from standard static web pages to lively web applications. Intel’s first release of the XDK, aka appMobi, was released back in April of 2013 followed up by an update in June. Now, only three months later Intel has a newer, more functional XDK with a new App Designer, new editor, Brackets and uses node-webkit, an app runtime based on Chromium and node.js.
