Drupal Websites Grab Top Spots on 2011 Inc. 5000 List

The Volacci search engine marketing company recently performed exhaustive research to identify websites created with Drupal, and found that more large scale, high profile sites are making the move to the open source CMS. Two percent of all websites are using Drupal, but the corporate enterprise is still gaining appreciation for the CMS.

Out of the Inc. 5000 companies, 187 are running their main website on Drupal. The Inc. 5000 list is a list of the fastest growing companies in the United States, and currently shows that Solazyme.com is in the #2 position, along with sites including Goldline.com and Accuvant.com, all of which use the Drupal CMS.

Kylon Gustin, Volacci’s VP of Sales, said that “our experience shows that when comparing two sites, both equal in digital assets like domain age, content, quality and volume of backlinks, the one powered by Drupal will climb search rankings faster.”
