Cloud-based development tool vendor DigitalOcean has launched a new object storage service called Spaces. The new service runs on Amazon Web Services (AWS) and is intended to host Web assets, such as images, media files, backups and logs. It includes an easy-to-use interface and is highly scalable.
Pricing for Spaces starts at $5 for 250 GB of storage with 1TB of outbound transfer. More storage space costs $.02 per gigabyte, and more data transfers costs $.01 per gigabyte. The first two months of use are free.
DigitalOcean says that more than 1 million developers use its products.
