3D Graphics Comes to Adobe Flash

In a move sure to excite online game developers, Adobe today announced that its Flash Player will support 3D graphics. This announcement comes as the future of the web is debated, with 3D web graphics being an essential part of that future.

The announcement came in the form of the agenda for the upcoming Adobe Max conference, which will occur in October. Adobe’s Flash Player engineer Sebastian Marketsmueller is slated to host a session entitled “Flash Player 3D Future.”

Flash Player product manager Imbert Thibault provided another clue, stating in a blog post that “I tell you, some serious stuff is coming for 3D developers. If you are into 3D development for games, augmented reality, or just interactive stuff like Web sites, you just can’t miss the session.”
