Vizzuality Releases CartoDB: A New Open-Source Data Mapping Tool to Provide Customizable Views

After 6 months of selected beta testing, Vizzuality has launched an all new open-source data-mapping tool. CartoDB is an easy to use and very customizable tool that will allow users to display their geospatial data. CartoDB is now an alternative to Fusion Tables by Google and boasting such existing clients as NASA and The Wall Street Journal. Developers using this tool can now import and merge their data sets into many formats including .csv and KML, plus they can now layer those data sets over such mapping technologies as Bing, Google Maps or OpenStreetMap.
