This Year’s RPG Summit to Focus on PHP Web Development

Jul 10, 2012

Even while PHP was originally delivered into the IBM i community with a negative reaction, and only recently after Java had been given to them as the best and only development solution, PHP turned out to be much quicker and easier to use, especially for RPG developers, the popularity of PHP exploded and has surpassed that of Java. So in addition to the spotlight on PHP, this year’s PRG summit will offer instructional classes,  and other topics on the Summit agenda include discussion on PHP’s mobile applications, using SQL with DB2 and RPG, Web programming, RPG ILE and modular programming, modern dev tool set, and discussions on optimizing database and SQL performance. Read more about the upcoming sessions here.
