Self Publishing Flourishes with Lulu API

May 24, 2011

The self-publication of books used to be reserved for those who were unable to find a publisher. With Lulu, an online publishing platform, and its new Lulu API, developers, publishers and content writers can manage the whole publishing process.

Lulu hopes to entice developers and writers with several APIs, including the Open Publication API, which enables users to create web apps that features private branding, the Document Conversion API, which generates a “print-ready” PDF from Word, RTF and HTML documents.

Even e-commerce is covered by its eCommerce API, which enables developers to provide the ability for website visitors to take orders from their websites, with Lulu taking care of the fulfillment process.
