Mozilla Today Launched the New BrowserQuest, Highlights HTML5 Gaming Possibilities

The Little Workshop exploits the new WebSockets API from Mozilla in order to power a high-end Web-based gaming experience. And get this… it does NOT require another browser plug-in. Instead, users of BrowserQuest simply  need a browser. For now, Firefox, Chrome, Opera,  and of course, Safari. While the first few games available in BrowserQuest aren’t going to win any awards, they are hard to beat and do offer quite a challenge. And BrowserQuest is designed to be a tribute to classic video games with a multiplayer twist and the experiment is all being powered by HTML5 and JavaScript.
