In addition to the release of Windows Azure Mobile Services, Microsoft will soon bring support for mobile platforms which will include Windows Phone, iOS and Android. The new Windows Azure Mobile Services platform provides developers with the ability to store data in the cloud, authenticate users, and send out push notifications to agents. Microsoft’s new BaaS, or Backend As A Service solution will provide developers the means to focus their development efforts on the frontend where the efforts matter most to the user leaving the backend tasks to Azure.
