Market Insights for Mobile App Development

The eCommerce Director at Hotels.com, Daniel Craig, recently discussed mobile app development and provided some insights into the development of mobile applications. One of the first topics discussed was the concept of the target audience–those users that are most likely to use your application.

Craig believes that the challenge for most apps is to gain as many customers as possible, while continuing to make a profit against the initial investment. When asked about the background that a developer should have if they are considering the move into mobile app development, Craig responded that a mobile app developer should have a well-rounded skillset that includes core programming skills, design, animations, and a familiarity with user experience and design.
