jQuery Leads Polls as Developer’s Favorite JavaScript Library

Jan 27, 2011

Last October developers were surveyed to find out which JavaScript libraries were their favorites. Over 29 percent of websites were using jQuery, making it the number one JavaScript library, however over 60 percent of websites weren’t using any JavaScript libraries at all.

Other JavaScript libraries to make the cut included MooTools, which came in second, Prototype, which came in third, with honorable mentions for Script.aculo.us, YUI Library, Spry and Dojo.

The folks at ReadWriteWeb are taking a new poll to determine the latest favorite JavaScript library from readers.
