jQuery 2.0 JavaScript to drop Internet Explorer 6, 7, and 8 Support

The jQuery JavaScript library development team has released the project roadmap for the popular framework with version 1.9 being released in tandem so that developers who would like legacy browser support. The new 2.0 update is currently scheduled to be released early next year. jQuery is very popular with Web developers and is currently in use among the largest sites on the Internet today, providing a laundry list of useful functions and development methods, simplifying DOM manipulation and tasks common in modern Web applications development.
