Joomla Becomes the Enterprise “Go-To” CMS Solution

Mar 22, 2012

Joomla started off seven years ago as an idea of the good folks who developed Mambo, another great open source suite for developing websites had somewhat of a fall-out amongst themselves. So much so that the team, like any good rock-band, split-up over a disagreement about control of the project. And so Joomla was born. Free and open-source, this content management system did not quickly take-off, but after a few years of refining and proving, Joomla found a home somewhere between WordPress and Drupal and now claims, unofficially, almost 3% of the enterprise web development. Make no mistake, that is a huge number given the options developers have. And if its support you need, Joomla has it with a huge community of developers, SME’s and regular Joe’s who are happy to help without the need to pay exorbitant fees. Check out the full details of the article here.
