iPhone and Flash Together Yet Again Through Skyfire Browser App

Sep 2, 2010

The Flash vs. HTML 5 debate rolls on, but one company, Skyfire, is hoping to bring Flash to the iPhone with or without Apple. The Skyfire browser, already available for the Android and Windows Phone 7, will soon become available through the App Store.

The Skyfire browser is capable of playing Flash video, without compromising Apple’s guidelines. The upcoming release, Skyfire 2.0, will support Flash video playback, along with the same social networking features that are currently available in the Android version.

Although several apps currently support Flash through the iPhone, this will be one of the first such apps to be approved for the App Store, and does not require the user to jailbreak their iPhone.
