Google Takes Another Shot at Microsoft, This Time its Office with Docs Offline Editing

Google’s newly added functionality has been integrated with Drive and does require the latest version of Chrome, or Chrome OS however with the upgrade, users will once again have the option to enable offline editing in Google Docs using the new Gear icon in Drive. The new functionality provides Docs users to edit their Google Docs documents offline. Sounds a lot like Microsoft Office. Once the system is back online, user can easily sync their edited documents to the cloud once they reconnect. For now, this new, or, returning feature is available only for word documents, spreadsheets and presentations will be coming soon but no word yet on when. Read the full story here.
