Google has unveiled a new animation tool it calls the Data GIF Maker. It turns data from spreadsheets and charts into animations. Although designed with journalists in mind, almost anyone can use it to illustrate numbers, such as “polling numbers, sales figures, movie ratings,” etc.
The tool is easy to use, but the article cautions that it can take some time for it to turn data into GIFs.
