Google this week announced the release of its Page Speed Online application programming interface (API). The Page Speed Online API assists developers and website owners with speed performance analysis for their websites.
Along with the new API, Google has provided a “getting started” guide for developers to assist them with the process of adding Page Speed code to their web pages. By using the API tools, website owners can improve their Page Speed scores.
As Google reports, “You can use the Page Speed Online API to programmatically generate Page Speed scores and suggestions.” By using the scores and suggestions, sites can be optimized for both mobile and desktop users.
