Google Announces Moderator’s API, Shows Wave Extension and Android App Demo

May 12, 2010

Google this week announced its Moderator’s API, which enables web developers to access, update and participate in Google Moderator. Thus far, Google Moderator has been used within Google for meetings and collecting feedback from members about events and occurrences within the company.

Google Moderator is often used at conferences and events to organize and utilize the feedback from participants. Users had requested that Google create a formal API for Moderator, and Google was happy to announced the Google Moderator API via its BlogSpot.

The API can be used to create new series, topics, submissions or votes, and allows authenticated users to vote on submissions or review their own votes. The API can also be utilized to retrieve topics in a series, or submissions in a particular topic. Google provided some examples of what the API could be used to accomplish.
