The market is shifting, and the use of Ajax technologies and Rich Internet Application (RIA) platforms is becoming less of an early adopter phenomenon, and more of a mid stage, enterprise level occurrence.
On high-end consumer websites, the use of Ajax is already pervasive, while enterprise adoption of both Ajax and “heavy RIA” is still “on hold” until the technologies mature and large IT vendors release such technologies in a form that can be easily assimilated into their current staff, skill set and IT environment.
