Flash Soon To Come for Jailbroken iPhones and iPads

Jul 8, 2010

While many sources will discourage you from “jailbreaking” your iPhone or iPad, for those who do, the rewards will soon include Flash. According to some open source developers, by jailbreaiing, adding some Android libraries and doing some tweaking, you will soon be able to use Flash directly on the devices.

The project is called “frash” and is posted and hosted on the Gothub website. Although still in beta form, and not yet ready for prime time, developers are hoping to see Flash on the iPhone and iPad soon, with some help from other developers. Project requirements are listed on their site.

Some developers, and end users, are not willing to jump through the hoops required in order to see this Flash dream come true. Keep in mind though, although not endorsed by this website, or this writer, jailbreaking an iPhone only takes 2 minutes, and is as simple as a software upgrade.
