ECMA International has approved the new ECMA-402 standard providing application developers to better support their JavaScript written applications with better, and more importantly, standardized support of a user’s native language. In the past it’s been problematic for application designers to perform such basic tasks as sorting items based on a user’s language. API specification ECMA-402 corrects that problem by providing application developers with the ability to choose the language and tailor the functionality to their needs while complementing the ECMAScript Language Specification.
