DeviantART Turning To HTML 5 With Muro Drawing App

Aug 12, 2010

DeviantArt this week announced a new web app called Muro which enables users to draw on any device with a web browser which supports HTML 5. Muro accepts input from laptop touchpads, iPad touchscreens and drawing tablets.

Muro also enables users to work with layers and multiple brushes. Once a user has created a drawing using Muro, they are able to save their work to their DeviantArt account, at which point they can share their art with other DeviantArt members as well as anyone else on the web.

Although the software has some limitations, it is a functional web app which can be used for creating 2D digital art, and currently works with Google Chrome and Safari on the PC, as well as the iPad and iPhone.
