Brendan Eich, “Father of JavaScript”, To Advise Ajax.org

The man known as the “father of JavaScript”, Brendan Eich, this week announced that he has joined the advisory board of Ajax.org, the folks that created the Cloud9 online development environment.

Cloud9 is a commercial, cloud-based integrated development environment (IDE) for JavaScript that utilizes HTML5 and provides support for the Python, Ruby and PHP programming languages.

Eich’s role on the advisory board at Ajax.org will be to use his knowledge of JavaScript to evolve and grow Cloud9, as well as to promote the software.
