2011: Google Takes the World

Dec 30, 2010

It’s the time for new year’s resolutions and predictions, and this time Google is poised to take over the world. Well, not the world, really, but the technology world anyway, with the Google Chrome OS.

To preface this prediction, keep in mind that the last two years of growth for the search engine giant have been phenomenal, with new products, services, browsers and now, its own operating system. The Android OS is the fastest growing OS in the mobile industry–ever. The Google Chrome browser is one of the fastest and safest web browsers out there.

Early 2011, Google will be introducing its Chrome OS, which is currently in beta format. Google recently distributed tablet PCs loaded with the Chrome OS to hundreds of beta testers. The Chrome OS works almost totally online, and is basically used to access online apps and data. No muss, no fuss, just a fast, efficient operating system.
