SitePoint Market Aims To Be a “Craigslist for Web Developers”

Mar 4, 2011

SitePoint this week announced the debut of SitePoint Market. SitePoint Market is similar to Craigslist, and was designed to be a marketplace for web developers and designers to source work, outsource web projects and buy and sell developer products.

Although SitePoint has operated the SitePoint Marketplace as a part of its main site, the company stated that they believed it was time to give it a home of its own. SitePoint Co-Founder, Mark Harbottle, believes the Market will serve the developer community well, stating that “SitePoint Market is a dedicated space where web developers and designers can list their services, find clients and trade products and services. The objective is to help them get more clients and to grow their businesses.”

SitePoint Market will interest web developers who are actively seeking clients, as the site was designed to provide developers with opportunities to find work by listing their development services on the site.
