Localized SEO Works Well With Mobile Search

Aug 18, 2011

A recent study from JiWire, a mobile media company, reported that mobile consumers are using their location data when they search for content. By using local search engine optimization, businesses are able to reach consumers and entice them to become customers.

JiWire conducted the survey with over 2,800 U.S. mobile users, 53 percent of whom responded that they share location details in order to find local deals and results from their mobile phones. By providing access to their location details, they are provided with local information instantly. 31 percent of those users also said that price comparisons are the most useful tool they use for mobile shopping.

Another study from Borrell Associates indicated that 83 percent of small businesses are incorporating mobile marketing into their compaigns.
