Linux Foundation Announces the new JS Foundation

As the Linux Foundation continues to accelerate open technology development and its commercial adoption, today they launched the JS Foundation. This is a new project created to help foster JavaScript developer engagement, collaboration and best practices, while all under a single open governance model. The JQuery Foundation and the Dojo Foundation  have already announced their plans to join forces in September and come together as part of the new JS Foundation.  The new organization also announced a Mentorship Program “to help encourage a culture of collaboration and sustainability throughout the JavaScript community.” The list of initial participants includes Appium, Interledger.js, JerryScript, Mocha, Moment.js, webpack and Node-RED.
