Leading HTML5 Trends for 2011

Most developers are either aware of HTML5, or are already beginning to use it for website and application development, even as the mobile debate continues over web versus native apps. With 2011 coming to a close, there are several HTML5 trends that are worth keeping an eye on.

As smartphone and tablet use continues to grow, mobile website and app development is projected to grow by a huge level of magnitude in the coming years, and developers would we wise to look at HTML5 as the most capable language of choice over more specialized languages currently being used to create native apps.

Game developers are also among the first to use the advanced functionality of HTML5 for the creation of mobile game apps. Games are among the most popular apps among those sold for mobile devices, and is among the reasons cited when people choose an Android or iOS device.
