IDERA Buys Sencha

Database and development tool vendor IDERA and purchased Sencha, which is known for its popular Web application development platform. Back in 2015, IDERA bought Embarcadero, which makes rapid application development tools. IDERA plans to integrate Sencha’s products within the Embarcadero line.

“Sencha’s focus on reducing cost and complexity to develop and deliver web applications is a powerful fit with our development tools business,” said Randy Jacops, CEO of IDERA, Inc. “We are very excited about this space and expect to continue to improve and invest in our developer tools capability.”

Details about the purchase price were not released.
