HTML5 Support Added to Latest Release of KonyOne Platform

Dec 14, 2011

The latest version of Kony Solutions’ KonyOne mobile development platform now includes comprehensive support for HTML5. The KonyOne platform enables developers to create and deliver both native and Web apps, allowing them to use a single application definition across multiple platforms including mobile devices, tablets and desktops.

The CEO of Kony, Raj Koneru, discussed the release, stating that “At Kony, we believe the future includes native, mobile web, and HTML5 hybrid or ‘mixed mode’ applications. Using the KonyOne platform, developers are able to use a single code base to create optimized applications for any device, operating system or browser. They can create native, mobile web or HTML5 applications or any combination to achieve the best individual user experience.”

KonyOne provides true native support for seven operating systems, including Android, iOS, Windows Phone 7, BlackBerry, Java ME, Symbian and webOS, along with support for HTML5-based mobile web apps. HMTL5 support includes all of the new HTML5 elements, touch specific features such as touch events, double taps and swipes, support for CSS3, and JavaScript API support.
