Google, Udacity to Give 50,000 Scholarships for Android or Web Development Training

Google CEO Sundar Pichai has announced a new "Grow with Google" initiative that aims to train thousands more developers. "Grow with Google is there to give anyone in America the tools and training they need to get a job, for free," Pichai said.

As part of the program, Google and Udacity with offer 50,000 scholarships to people who want to train to be Android or Web developers. To qualify, you must live the United States and be at least 18 years old. No previous development experience is necessary. Those who do well in the first phase of the program will quality for a second phase with more advanced training.
