Facebook Unveils Data Center System on a Chip

As one of their contributions to the Open Compute Project, Facebook today unveiled a new system-on-a-chip or SoC compute server. The new SoC is named Yosemite and is designed to support up to four independent servers and promises improved performance and cost savings for each watt consumed versus a standard data center server.
