Keep Your User in Mind for Web Design and Marketing

Feb 5, 2011

Although many developers and designers work to create a website that can be best utilized by advertisers and search engines, the end user is still the primary user of the site. Keeping your user’s experience in mind during the design process should still be your number one goal.

As marketers, we tend to identify groups of society and determine which groups will find our sites, products and services appealing. The goal of marketers is to turn those groups of users into customers. By increasing the level of customer satisfaction, you can potentially turn those users into repeat customers.

For those who are developing websites, figuring out exactly how people are likely to find your website, to become users, and potential customers, is half the game. What terms do they search for, and what type of services are they likely to come back for once they have found your site?
