Web-based 3D Gaming Coming Soon from Spinor

Aug 17, 2010

Spinor, a German game development firm, today announced its new Shark 3D web player. The company hopes to bring high quality 3D graphics to the web–without the need for plugins or an installer.

Folker Schamel, CEO of Spinor, believes that by bypassing the problem of requiring a plugin, and enabling users to run high quality 3D content in the web browser with a one click process, they can encourage more end users to adopt the use of such games.

The Shark 3D Web Player works in web browsers on desktop users, as well as the iPhone and iPad. The product supports the on-demand loading of assets, while advanced asset streaming runs as a background process.
