Apache Web Server Needs Immediate Patch

If your website runs on the Apache Web Server, you may need to apply a security patch immediately. A freelance journalist has discovered a vulnerability in the Web server software that can allow attackers to access server memory. Optionsbleed, as the vulnerability has been named, could be particularly risky for companies that share Web server space with other companies.

However, the impact of the bug appears to be fairly limited. According to the person who discovered the security flaw, only 466 websites in the Alexa Top 1 Million are vulnerable to Optionsbleed.
