MIT Develops New Bug Finder for Ruby on Rails

Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) researchers have announced the development of a new breakthrough in security for programs written in the popular web application framework Ruby on Rails. Testing of 50 web apps written in Ruby on Rails identified 23 bugs and took only 63 seconds to complete the inspection of a single app. This new form of static analysis analyzes how information flows through a program using logical rather than programming language, allowing for quick searches and readily understood results.
