Casablanca C++ SDK Goes the way of Apache Open Source

Microsoft continues to put forth effort in support of the open source community with a move to put their C++ REST SDK under the Apache open-source licensing. Casablanca, supporting Windows 7, 8 and Linux OS’s with, for whatever reason, support for XP and Vista in the works. The offer to move Casablanca to open-source is a move to provide developers with an easier, cheaper way to write client side HTTP. Microsoft’s is also providing developers with examples of a file upload via HTTP and creating a JSON object as to help demonstrate Casablanca’s abilities. Read more here.
