Apple Debuts 'iPad ready" Websites Optimized Using HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript

Apple will be launching its iPad tablet tomorrow, and they made several iPad-ready applications and lists of iPad-optimized websites available on Thursday to be ready for the launch, including CNN, The New York Times, Time and nine others.

The common glue that holds those iPad-optimized websites together is HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript. Apple is pushing these standards over familiar technologies such as Adobe's Flash, which is not supported by the iPad or iPhone.

Apple has updated its MobileMe service to include the iPad, and now features "Find my iPad" and "Remote wipe" features for lost iPads, with additional iPad support features in the works.
