Google V8 Expands For Octane JavaScript Benchmark Suite

Google knows that JavaScript performance is critical for web browsers due to the increase in number of smartphones and tablets that use JavaScript formatting and navigation. For years they have openly touted their Chrome browser performance is based on JavaScript benchmarks and for a more usable method to measure JavaScript performance, Google created Octane, a benchmark tool that offers developers a way to test 2D physics, PDF rendering and 3D graphics. Google announced that the current JavaScript benchmarks focus only on some particular features of the scripting language.
