CSS3 Also Good for Website Pageloading Times

Many developers have began to use HTML5 and CSS3 in order to be able to use the new functionality provided by each of these technologies. With CSS3, however, it isn't just new features that will provide the initiative--it also enhances pageload speed.

By reducing the number of images, while using CSS3 transitions, web fonts and animations, the number of HTTP requests is reduced, along with the number of files that are requested. Developers have been using the CSS3 border-radius technique to create rounded corners, web fonts are replacing images, and drop-shadow is being used in place of images of, well, shadows.

By being sure which browser is preferred (and used) by your site's audience, you can be sure that the majority of your audience will be able to utilize the new features you are employing. CSS3 can speed up your development time, while making web pages load more quickly in the web browser.
