Adobe Brings Packager for iPhone Back To Life

As soon as Apple eased licensing restrictions, Adobe was ready to jump back on the bandwagon, today announcing that it would be restarting work on a developer tool called Packager for iPhone. Packager enables developers to create native iPad and iPhone apps out of Flash applications.

In a recent blog post, Adobe stated that “We will now resume development work on this feature for future releases. This is great news for developers and we’re hearing from our developer community that Packager apps are already being approved for the App Store.”

Apple’s announcement stated that they were removing the restriction that had been in place that blocked Packager for iPhone applications. For the first time, they discussed the full set of admission rules for the App Store, something developers have been waiting for.
