Acid3 Browser Test Updated By HTML Experts

HTML and browser experts this week announced that they have updated the Acid3 browser test so that it won’t stifle the development of web browser standards. Opera CTO Håkon Wium Lie and HTML specification editor Ian Hickson announced the update via Google+.

The website-based test was originally designed to focus on Microsoft Internet Explorer’s limitations, and the update was actually done by commenting out parts of the test that may get changed in the browser specifications.
