A TRUE CROSS-
PLATFORM
MULTI-BUTTON SOUND PLAYER
(A JUKEBOX)
Script by: Donald Harriman
This is the only true multi-button, cross-platform sound player that works the same no matter what browser is being used. I wrote it because when I needed one, the only ones I could find worked okay in Netscape, but were a disaster in IE. I guess I thought like most, "If I need one someone must have written one." Guess not, until now. It is very simple and works very well. For Netscape users, it loads the default player in a separate window in the upper left corner of the browser so page viewing can still go on. Just like the default action. For IE, it does exactly the same thing. No more loading an entire new window in gray. No more deciding if you want to listen to music or look at the page you went to. The actions for Yamaha's MID PLUG and Crescendo is the same. It's expandable to however many you wish for a true jukebox without errors.Working Example
Please note: This script is being offered in simple text format. When you click to Grab the Script, the text should display. Internet Explorer and AOL users may get a blank page or the script may run and produce the effect. If this happens, choose SAVE AS from the FILE menu and save the blank or compiled page.
