Script by: Colm Mac Cárthaigh - colmmacc@geocities.com
If you haven't already, choose a couple of links and click GO. You'll get a floating window with your link choices. The author sent along some various uses for the script.
I believe it is geniunely useful:
If you have a long list of links on one page the user is only likely to need a few. They can select what they want and create a relevant remote control. Also when a user does click on a normal link it is complicated to get back to the original link page by pressing "Back" several times.
If the user is uncomfortable with the JavaScript side of things they can just click on the links in the conventional manner.
If the user leaves your site by clicking on a normal link there is no easy way to get back. The script allows you to place a link at the bottom or start of the remote control for easy access to your site.
It works in everything! From Netscape 2-4 and IE 3-4.
Please note: This script is being offered in simple text format. When you click to Grab the Script, the text should display. Internet Explorer and AOL users may get a blank page or the script may run and produce the effect. If this happens, choose SAVE AS from the FILE menu and save the blank or compiled page.
