Here's a rather basic script that I think is pretty helpful. The script isn't on this page because I'm not running it. You see -- it takes eight images to make it all run and I am far too lazy to create eight images. So, I'll tell you what it does and you can take it from there.
The script posts a different background and image depending on the time of day. You could have flowers in the morning and stars at night.
